At CCW we believe in the importance of missions.
So much so that 10% of every dollar that is donated to CCW plus a number of special gifts throughout the year goes to support the following missionaries or organizations.

Hi, all, I'm writing to give you an update on the Bodens. It has been a long while, and I'm guessing all of you know why by now. In case there is any who does not, eight weeks ago today, my beautiful wife, Kylee, went from this life to the next. She was pregnant with our little Caleb. They took him out by C-section on the morning of March 17, and she died that same night of a brain hemorrhage.

As many of you know, it has been like a horrible nightmare to live life without her. She was such an amazing woman who followed Jesus, loved deeply, and  felt the pain of sin all around. I can't even start to share how much she meant to me.

I'm writing briefly to share a few things that are going on. I plan to write a newsletter and send it out later this month that will capture more of what my grief and life without Kylee has been. This is more of a practical what's going on now and what's coming up soon note.

I have started going back to work a little bit. Two half days last week, two this week. The plan is for me to work myself back into full time by early to mid June, so I'm progressing toward that now. Kids are being well taken care of by family and friends, so many people so eager to help. Meals are being brought by people from church. I put an offer on a house to buy and will find out this week whether we will move there or not. It's only about 2 minutes away from where we live now, and it has a swimming pool!

My brain is not fully functioning, so I'm going to write only a bit more. (Not sure how well this is all coming out right now).
Know that your prayers have been my life these past eight weeks. Thank you for your encouragement, gifts, and love for me and my kids. The kids are doing well. Caleb is growing fast; he has his two month check up in a week. Seth and Lydia have a counselor who comes to their school every other week; they seem to be doing well. And Sarai is just as full of life and fun as ever.

That's all for now. God is teaching me day by day how to grieve. I've never had to before, so I'm enjoying his kisses of grace a lot.

Many of you have been reading my posts on Facebook to follow me in the grief process. I appreciate the opportunity to share with you in that way. I only hope that God continues to use that silly little social media network to bring glory to himself.

Love you all.

Enjoying the body of Christ more than ever before,
Matt
